Call me old-fashioned, but I do not like all the dark themes out there. My focus is this:
A pleasing, clear and easy-on-the-eyes theme that is meant for those who use the Gnome-desktop professionally on a daily basis.
The focus in this theme is usability and compatibility: GTK-2 applications and GTK-3 applications look virtually the same.
IMPORTANT:
This theme is developed for the gnome DE. It works on GTK3.22 to GTK3.29, and GTK3.32/34/36/38, NOT GTK 3.30.
How to install:
Download the theme,
> Gnome-PROF-light
> Gnome-PROF-light-DS (Dark Sidebar in the filemanager)
> Gnome-PROF-Darker
>Gnome-PROF-Dark
Just copy the extracted file to a '.themes'-folder you make in your home directory.
Then use Tweak Tool and select the theme.
LOG OUT AND BACK IN for changes to take full effect !
IMPORTANT FOR UBUNTU-USERS:
Ubuntu increasingly use snaps if you download something from the Ubuntu-software-center.
This unfortunately means that they do not follow the theme.
So some app's that are snaps use the default adwaita theme.
For example the Ubuntu-software-center is a snap-package and thus uses Adwaita, instead of Gnome-Prof-theme.
The only (easy) solution is to avoid snap-packages and find their versions in the repositories.

fblais noticed a bug relating to the mount-icon in the sidebar (not showing properly in dark sidebar). This now shows as a rounded icon with contrasting color.

This version brings allot of visual changes (separated back-forward-buttons in nautilus, duotone-coloured selected items in the sidebar, menubar-color integrated with the titlebar-colors)
And 2 extra versions: Gnome-PROF-DS (a version with a dark sidebar in nautilus) and Gnome-PROF-Darker with darker headerbars, -menubars and -titlebars.

-Alignment of background-color of toolbars.
-Lighter font-color
-Corrected the indeterminate-button.
-Added transparency to headerbar and menu's
-Corrected headerbar-height when combined with the headerbar switch
-Define the theme-foreground-color so the Clock-app's colors are correct (thanks to Vinceliuice)
-Suggested-action- and error-buttons are redesigned.
-Changed backdrop-color of titles in the titlebar.
-Changed separation-bar-color so that the left and right headerbar look as a whole bar.
-harmonised the text-shadow-intensity in selected items
-Redesign of the floatingbar in Nautilus
-Redesign of titlebuttons: All min-max-close look the same in backdrop-situation
-Removed backdrop in title-and headerbars.
-Button-redesign so when pressed (active state) to look darker
-Desktop-icons's text-color is white with dark shadow now.
-Titlebars (when having a menubar beneath) are made smaller.
-Checked-buttons are blue now(except for buttons in the headerbar)
-Rounded pupop-and menu's.
-The 'selection'-blue mode of headerbars is gone. They stay grey, but buttons remain blue.

This is the theme that I was looking for. For a long time..
This is easily the highest quality theme out there, but for some reason, emacs has a unusually big window header, can you please take a look?
Hands down, by far the best looking theme with minute details covered. Better than all those Mac themes out there. What I liked the most? Font Rendering and Rounded Corners.
i"m using the light version of the theme--beautiful! Thank you for creating this. It is, as you wrote in your description, easy on the eyes. I hope you'll keep developing it. It works perfectly on gnome 3.38
Best theme I ever saw, it looks perfectly balanced and easy on eyes. Applications somehow looks more "informative": you can distinguish elements from one another easier (modern "flat" designs often have problems with this).
Sadly there is one problem with all your themes (except Nextwaita witch I'm currently using): there is a menu when you right-click tab title in firefox, it shows, but when you select item with another menu on the list (like "move tab" "sent tab to device") that menu wouldn't work. I believe thunderbird had same problem with some menus, so this must be related with how mozilla handles gtk. Hope this is fixable, this small annoyance is stopping me from using this marvellous theme.

Not fit to good on 3.38. Folders in appgrid menu is broken. Also search button in nautilus look weird.

I would like an option for a little taller buttons.
A couple of problems I notice: Nemo doesn't show the sidebar with a different color like on Nautilus and notifications on elementary OS show up with a white background, black text.

Almost perfect, but gtk-2 apps are darker theme style (top dark and clear inside) only instead of realy dark when dark theme is applied. gtk-3 ones are completely dark.

I keep on coming back to this theme in all honesty, and I *want* to give it a 10 or a 9 due to the nicely thought out contrasts between areas and lack of "adwhiter" glare. I'm really fond of the cute checkbutton and radiobutton styles and the way popup menus look too. Switches ~could~ be a bit wider and closer to the check/radio buttons in styling, and buttons on normal areas outside of headerbars ~could~ be brighter to stand out more (as they do very beautifully on the headerbars). The down arrows on dropdowns/combos look blurry to me at the font size I use (12pt Fira Sans Regular @ 1.00 scaling)
Aesthetically it's really nice and contrasty in a way that I *really* like (another nice one for me is your Cameo-Alu-dark, but that's too dark for "prof" use :)
Major problem is that there's no keyboard navigation focus, which makes it slightly unusable at times for me, and most/all the time for some disabled folks and primarily keyboard nav people. I think it's something themers need to do better: enabling additional modes of access helps everyone!
I hope you'll forgive the critique. Aesthetically, and in ways that use aesthetics to contribute to legibility and usability, this theme is outstanding.

This is by far the best Gnome theme ever made. Thank you so much. I'm not a casual user. I'm a professional developer using Gnome all day long.
I'm new, installed the "Dark" version, and contextual menus (right clic on desktop) and the top bar (where you can restart your computer, see notifications) menus are white (supposed to be black ?). How can I fix this ? (I'm on PopOS)

Awesome like it so much. Just one little thing that i noticed. I use gnome on archlinux. When i hover the menu of my terminal, the background where the entries "new window" and "fullscreen" are, become darker.

9 excellent - The colorless minimize and maximize buttons feel slightly off balance with the colorized red close button in the dark theme version. Other than that, this is super clean and near perfect for a professional look.

6 okay I change rating if improved but I want my buttons on the normal rightward side but transparent titlebar pop in to corrupt appearance when not on left side. not optimal result a normal user desire.

8 great - beautiful theme. I really love how clean the UI is with this theme. The sidebars in Nautilus are particularly nice to me.
Only issue I'm seeing is around the border radius for apps like Visual Studio Code, GIMP that don't have the GNOME CSD titlebars. The curve is more pronounced in those apps. https://imgur.com/a/PicnbVk

It's an excellent theme. In v3.3 there is an issue with the logout dialogue box and the date fonts in the top bar are bigger according to the rest.

I like it! Finally a clean, light theme with blue tone. I miss the blue folder icons and I think the window close button should be something else than orange. It would be cool if installing from command line was possible to get update automatically. Anyway, nice job!

i would like to points 2 things:
1) i finds that the 3 circles from window's corner (close,reduce...)a bit to small (laptop 1920*1080). get then bigger would be excellent.
2) in gnome-logs app, the numerous at the end of the lines which informs to the occurrence numbers logs is whites / transparency effect?.
should adopte the global theme color or a fixed color...
ps. i'm using your theme on kde plasma (breeze and breath2) and your theme works for gtk apps only
