Description:

This is a very very black modification of
my slickness theme.
I made it cause someone here at gnome-look
asked if I could.

New feature since version 0.3:
You can now choose colors using gnome
theme manager.
It is my very first try at something like this so it might not work exactly as planned.

Feedback of any kind is always welcome :D

There's a bug with Banshee where its notification area icon popup gets painted as a panel, eventhough it requests to be painted as a tooltip. The said bug is here: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=541908

screenshot: http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/169656/banshee-tooltip-slicknessb.png

And the solution is in comment #10.

cp: `/home/famthepass/desktop/SlicknesS-black' No Such file or directory.

U need to put the path in there for where u are putting it with that command. The way that command looks to me is as if you are just telling it to cp itself to itself so where ever you want it like say I wanted to move a folder from music to videos in my home folder i would do

cp /home/username/music/folder /home/kenny/videos/folder

If you are using Ubuntu u would benefit from just clicking the tar.bz2 file and draggin it out of there like you would using winzip and then open System/Preferences/Appearance and drag it into that program and drop it. I can do it with the command line but this way just seems so much quicker to me because either way I have to open the Appearance program.

You need conky for that. Then download the .conkyrc file of the artist, and put it in your home directory a.k.a ~/

It's a nice theme, but there are is a problem that I just can't look past. No matter how I adjust it, I cannot get certain buttons on webpages to display readable words. They're always black and illegible. Google is like this. Also, the input boxe color/text is hard to get right without ruining the whole theme. Fix that and this theme is a winner!

Ok after looking at the ooo2 fix, I wanted a way to make it work with ooo3 and here goes.

Step 1: install the Slickness theme
http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/SlicknesS?content=71993

Step 2: open
"/usr/lib/openoffice/programs/soffice"
with you favrite text-editor.

Step 3: create a new line just after #!/bin/sh and past the following in it.
export GTK2_RC_FILES=/usr/share/themes/SlicknesS/gtk-2.0/gtkrc

p.s. I'm running gentoo but this should work for any distro with changes to the path where needed.

p.p.s I used the Slickness theme to keep the ooo look as close to the rest of my system as possable but you could skipt step one and use any theme you like.

Love the theme BTW! It's one of the nicest I've seen. However, Thunderbird's menus are dark grey against a black background. You can't read them. Is there a fix for this?
