2.2.2 probably the last update, this should
fix the message of an engine "" not installed
I can't try it myself if it works (since I don't have
gnome installed) so if anyone would be kind
to let me know if it works, it would be kind :)
This will probably be my last fix as I'm not on
gnome anymore.
2.2.1 Fixed my previous F**kup. (at least I hope so)
(it's been tested on ubunut 7.10). If anyone still
has any kind of problem please be so kind and let me
know!
To read full changelog read changelog.txt in
the SlicknesS folder.

How did you "fix" it? I just uploaded a new theme that uses a modified slickness metacity and I get the same error on Ubuntu Intrepid...
"I'm not on gnome anymore."
What do you mean? What are you on man???!!!

to be honest, I haven't visited this page in a long
time :)
any transparency you see in the screenshot
are done with compiz (has nothing to do with the
theme).
If someone want to take over this theme to further
develop it, be my guest, I don't think I'll develop
it any further myself as I haven't used gnome in
a long time now :)
all the best and thx for all support!

but is it possible to make the whole panel
transparent. in the original themes this can be done by right-click->properties->background
but when i try this with your theme the notification area and the main menu arent transparent.

But when I select it with the Theme manager I get this message:
This theme will not look as intended because the required GTK+ engine ´´ is not installed.
Which theme engine should I install?

I guess the message is referring to the ubuntulooks engine, which is mostly clearlooks anyway. Might just be a lefover reference in therobs config files. No biggie.

Some things I did stuble across tho:
Evolution Mail List - Items are either "white on white" or "white on light grey". Both not really readable.
Same effect i.e. in the Pidgin-OTR-Plugins "known fingerprints" List.
the OTR is just a little anoying, but the Evolution one is really making it rather unusable. Should you not feel like fixing it let me know, I'll look for something else then, or try to figure it out myself.
Thanks for your work,
trei

In the theme directory edit the gtkrc on line 65
change:
bg[SELECTED] = "#FFFFFF"
to:
bg[SELECTED] = "#DDDDDD"
from white to a light grey.
Makes those lists readable, and I haven't found any bad side-effects.

Great theme. I have just started using this on gnome. But I have one question. How can I remove the pixmap on the bottom of the windows? Thanks.

TIP FOR USABILITY: I had some issues in several programs (Evolution, Banshee, KeePassX, etc) with highlighted items being white over white. I just modified the color "Normal/selected/background" to a grey (128/128/128) with the Gnome-color-chooser (I'm a newbie with themes) and it now works great with almost all programs I was able to check). Maybe it is worth updating the theme.
Great work!!! Thanks very much.

Anyway, do you know of any fix for the invisible text when highlighted in evolution?
Its really similar to the firefox problem you say to fix in the instructions.
Thanks!!

well, the firefox fix is for firefox 2
,ff3 shouldn't have a problem :)
as for evolution... the only fix I can
think of right now (as I have moved to
kde and no longer use gnome at all)
is to start the app with another theme :)
I'm sorry I can't fix it for you.

Your theme doesn't yet have window borders / decorations for xfwm4, only Metacity, so I've had to use the Technix borders instead which look a bit out of place. Could you please make us an xfwm4 version?
Also Firefox seems to work fine without applying the "fix" on my machine. Don't know how, it's more or less a vanilla install, just thought I'd say though.
