If you know where the materials you are using came from, go back and look for any files included with those themes (like a readme, or comments in the gtkrc). Make sure you are complying with the terms set out by the authors.

It may be that you simply modified another author's theme. If so, then that author is violating the conditions set out in the themes that he modified. Being unaware of conditions on the materials you are borrowing doesn't excuse you from the terms for using them.
Please figure out where all of the materials you are using came from, and add the appropriate acknowledgements.
