A cool, simple and minimalist icon theme. This icon theme is based on the free and open source Lazer icons (http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Lazer?content=103143). The aim is to eventually match and replace all of the icons in the Gnome icon theme. Any help would be much appreciated.
This is my first attempt at an icon theme and has been steadily growing into a full blown set of icons. All of the icons are created using the fantastic Inkscape. Any feedback or comments are welcome. Enjoy!

ICE has had a BIG update with loads of new icons - see the changelog below and second screenshot on the left.
*******************
Have you seen the ICE metacity theme?
http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/ICE?content=87898
*********************
This theme works best when the Clearlooks OSX theme is also installed.
*********************
---------------------------------
To install, download the file to desktop. Right click on desktop and select 'Change desktop background' then click on the 'Theme' tab and drag the downloaded file into this window.
Note - To use other icon themes too, press 'Ctrl' and 'h' to show hidden folders and open the .icons folder. In here there should be a folder called 'ice'. Inside this folder there should be a file called index.theme (it might not work by just double clicking on it - try opening text editor first and opening the file from within the text editor program). In this file there is a line near the top that reads like this:
Inherits=ClearlooksOSX
Just add whichever themes you want it to use after ICE in there.

v3.1 (19/04/09) - Added some new app icons for language preferences, nautilus CD burner, network tools, reboot notifier, gparted and bluetooth. Added 2 new device icons - SD card and webcam. Lots of other icons were updated and touched up.
v3.0 (14/04/09) - A big update! Only using scalable artwork to make the theme more manageable. Loads of new icons and lots of redesigned icons. New icons include: media icons (play, pause, rewind etc), mail icons (new message, reply, forward etc), devices (mouse, joypad, ipod etc), text formatting (center, select-all, bold etc), new wifi and battery status icons. There is also a new Ubuntu logo that is more 'icy'.
v2.1 (28/08.08) - initial release with folders. New icons for gtk-edit, volume control icons, desktop icon, new search icon. New bookmark icon for the Places menu....and a new icy Ubuntu logo (sorry to any non-ubuntu users). This is a test release with lots more work needed to be done on the folder icons.
v2.0 (10/8/08) - edit-clear, gtk-edit icons added to actions, scalable icons tweaked to scale better, zoom-best icon now working, new dialog icons (error, information, question, warning, password), new session icons (logout, lockscreen, hibernate, switch-user, suspend, restart, shutdown)
v1.4 (7/8/08) - Made the zoom in and out icons clearer at small sizes. Added object rotate and flip icons
v1.3 (16/7/08) - Added an icon for find-and-replace and updated the new-document icon
v1.2 (16/7/08) - New icons added for cut, copy, paste and list-remove
v1.1 (13/7/08 - A new name! ICE replaces Dazzl (thanks DanRabbit!). New icons for zoom-in, zoom-out, zoom-original and computer
v1.0 (8/7/08) - initial release

I don't quite understand your second problem - what is the actual name of the icon and what do you mean by 'lit'? Send me a personal message or email if it's easier and I'll try and sort it out.
cheers again,

I don't know how this will display in other file managers like Nautilus when using a dark theme like MurrinaDarkWaters, but I suspect any GTK that has that icon will have similar issues. Basically this icon should appear the same when active as it does when inactive, and only the pressed state should change.

... I'd still like to get the 'okay' button working though.

I can't seem to find how the naming works for this. It doesn't seem to work with scalable icons at the moment - I'm trying to get this sorted as it really annoys me too!
Thanks for the praise though ... on my way to check out your themes now.

Note that my icon-set is licensed under GPL. Is that a problem since you have another license? Wikipedia said that MIT was GPL compatible but I don't know if that means I can publish your work under GPL.

I'm not a licensing expert, but I'm pretty sure MIT means you can use it in any of your own projects. Anyway, take this as my permission granted.
It would be nice to see your updated icons.

Under OpenSUSE 11 in the menu, the log-out button is huge, how can I change this to the regular size?

All the icons should now be scalable. Is this still a problem?

The theme is an emerald theme that I made called Cloud 9, you can get it here:
http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Cloud+9?content=83590
That page also has the gtk settings and the colours used.
Hope that helps,

You just need to right-click on the desktop, select 'change desktop background', then select the 'theme' tab and click on the 'customise' button at the bottom. Now click on the 'controls' tab and select 'Glossy', then click on the 'Colours' tab and choose the colours listed on the Cloud 9 page. Then click on the 'icons' tab and select ICE.
The only other thing you would need to do is to install the Cloud 9 emerald theme - have you got Emerald on your machine?
Hope that helps, let me know how you get on.

Just one other thing - the folder icon in the screenshot won't appear in this theme - it is from an icon theme called Vista Inspirate (http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Vista-Inspirate?content=28352).
Hope that helps, keep asking if you need any more help,
